Position: President Popeye’s Barrie, Whitby, Sudbury

Training Tips: Lift weights slowly and do excercies with perfect technique.  Never cheat.

About Me: I am from a little town in Northern Manitoba called Flin Flon.  There are only about 6,000 people who live there.  I grew up playing hockey and fastball.  I started lifting weights in highschool and still do to this day. I love to play golf in the summer and I coach hockey in the winter. I am a big fan of the UFC and Mixed Martial Arts, and hope to start training again this winter.  My other passion is poker.  I play online a lot and love to play in tournaments.  My dream is to play in the World Series of Poker someday.

Training Tips: Whole Body circuit training a minimum of three days a week, gives me the best results in the shorest amount of time.  Core training excerises with my stability ball utilizing my own body weight.  I also recently aquired a BowFlex and am loving my workouts more and more!!!

Training Tips:  There is no magic pill!  Well being is a combination of consistent training and a healthy diet.  Life is crazy and you need to make time to take care of yourself.

About Me: My ambition is to become a firefighter.  Simply put I love to train!  The career I am aspiring  towards requres me to be in excellent physical condition…. not to mention keeping up with (or beating) the boys!

I also love to compete.  I am an OPA member and have competed in two OPA Figure Competitions placing first in the Short Class Figure Division!!  I have also stumbled into fitness modeling from time to time.

Training Tips: Be sure you have enough protein in your diet to maintain muscle mass. A balanced diet is important for best results. Results take time, no need to rush or be discouraged

Training Tips: Try running up hills and walking down for a leg day you just can’t make it to the Gym.  Don’t forget to keep your chin up and pump your arms!   Drink lots of water daily and don’t cheat your body on sleep!

About Me: Born in Barrie, and love playing sports of all varietys.  I currently play squash, racquetball, softball, ice hockey, mountain biking and run the Barrie Indoor Ultimate Frisbee League.    In my not so spare time I was a volunteer for 3 years at the Barrie YMCA teaching Aquafit in the pool on Sundays.   On a high note I am the only one to loose 200+ LBs once weighing in at a knee buckling 425lbs!  I know attend the www.BarrieAthleticClub.ca and love it there playing squash 4 nights a week and working out!
